Red cloth with embossed black title, author name, and illustration to upper board; embossed gilt titling to spine; embossed black publisher’s device to rear board; printed foliage pattern to endpapers; two pages of publisher’s advertisement following ffep. Condition: Very good. Soiling and spotting to boards and spine; corners bumped and rubbed; rubbing and fraying to head and tail of spine; page edges soiled with some raggedness owing to careless opening of the pages; foxing to endpapers and to first seven preliminary pages; occasional foxing to text thereafter; cracking in several places to text block where it joins spine (but text block is still intact and tight in binding). $160
