Subtitled “A Series of Novel and Amusing Figures Formed by the Hand, from Original Designs.” Prefaced by a charming essay describing the author’s patient efforts at getting “the ‘Duck’ to quack, the ‘Donkey’ to bray, ‘Toby’ to wag his tail, and the ‘Rabbit’ to munch his unsubstantial meal.” Beautifully hand colored and in a remarkably bright and fresh state of preservation.
