Ornate decorations of gilt, royal blue, and red throughout; coat of arms of the Duke of Windsor featured prominently near top front panel; gilt illuminations make up entire rear panel; gilt, black, and red Gothic script throughout; black and white photograph of Prince Albert (King George VI) and Queen Elizabeth; black and white photographs of Princess Elizabeth Alexandra Mary and Princess Margaret Rose; centerfold features two-page map of “The Commonwealth of Nations, or The British Empire”, coats of arms of the Empire in gilt, royal blue, and red. Condition: Very good. Corners slightly creased, several tiny creases along the fold. $25


Rarely found in such fresh condition, this newspaper insert was distributed by the Christian Science Monitor to celebrate the coronation of King George VI. Unlike most surviving copies, this one has not been folded again in the center.
